Remember the pic of dear hubby scraping the grout off the floor with the Bosch Bulldog? Well, this is the same shot two weeks later. The baseboards were replaced by now, with a fresh coat of paint. Now, I guess I need to freshen the doors, too!
And here's the kitchen island - no trim was replaced here yet. Simply because I hadn't broken the news to the husband that there was a project with the island right around the corner. Seriously, I'm surprised that he's still surprised when I suggest these things anymore!
And the living room (not the best shot), but the floors are just beautiful. I'm in my own little slice of heaven now ~ I never thought I'd see the day when flooring would make me feel so happy!
This was more than likely the first picture I took of the floor. I am particularly fond of the compressor hose and mop as props in the photo. Honorable mention goes out to my handy brother and my hubby for building the bench you see by the breakfast bay window. It's a great idea for seating and has a bonus ~ the top lifts up and all my cake pans and decorating supplies are stored there. I never knew I had so many Wilton pans until I grouped them all together.
I promise better pictures soon. We did actually move furniture back and start living like normal people again. We were exhausted though. Worn out didn't quite cover it. Now that it is done, though, I've never been happier! One more shout out to our "helper crew." You are the best!
