About Me

Welcome! I started this blog several years ago when I was “developing” my style. However, this "development" seems to be ever-lasting. We have gone through a major home renovation - chronicled here, and several small updates. While I am certain some people are well suited for just one style, I am not – our home is a blend of farmhouse and shabby chic. Together with my husband and two teen boys, we share our home with our three wonderful dogs and our independent cat  – never a dull moment around here! My parents were the 1970’s version of “DIYers” and I owe much of my inspiration to them – my father taught me the building and renovation skills I needed and my mother taught me about color, balance and design.
