And we are done!!!!!

The "order of completion" paperwork was signed on June 3rd, exactly four months to the day since the accident. While we have been living in the house for a month, we haven't actually "settled in." This takes time and I'm sure even though the reconstruction company is done with their work, we will find little things that need to be addressed. We still need to purchase a set of blinds for my office - that summer sun will start to heat up that room dramatically - so that is a priority. We still have a few touch ups to do and we need to hang the wooden cornices in the living room. Those things are so small in comparison to what we've been through in the last four months!

Although we loved our kitchen before, I have to admit I absolutely LOVE my kitchen now, more than ever. Our home is bright and cheery and now I never have to feel like I'm "stuck in the kitchen" away from everyone again.......

Our Kitchen ~ 2015

Our Kitchen ~ 2016

What a difference removing an interior wall made! I can't really have a messy kitchen, but if that's the only downside .... I'm ok with that!

And while our kitchen was the brunt of the "Lincoln Navigator damage," we chose this time to overhaul the whole house - after all, we hadn't been living here so why not? Easier said than done, in many cases. I must say, they make it look so easy on those HGTV shows, but I know first hand it is a far cry from easy! There were days of frustration, days filled with stressful tears, we went through a few boxes of bandaids, but the sense of accomplishment feels so good!

A few pictures from around the house.....

We would especially like to thank Envy Restoration & Construction, here in Arizona, for the amazing work they did and for being such a fantastic crew to work with.

From our house to yours, have a wonderful summer, and as always ~ until next time, Think Happy Thoughts!
